...not a chip...

The music for this I made in Garage Band. It has a pretty cool beat I think.

...UGG-ly boots...

The UGG boot movement is getting out of control, people. I saw a full family wearing them last week at the mall (kid in stroller included). I know this is old news for many of you who care or pay attention to footwear these days but for those who don't: PAY ATTENTION. I will be the first to say I love Australia. I love their ability to stay in the middle of politics and avoid everything from World War II to Mad Cow disease; I love pretty much all their wines, I love their calm and easy-going nature, their love of sport and can't resist the accent. All that to say I hate their trendiest export: UGG boots.

I mean I really think they are UGG-ly. For some reason they seemed frequently paired with tights and a parka-length jacket--sometimes with a fur lined hood. It's not that it's a bad look...no, wait. It is definitely a bad look.

Skinny women wear them and they look like a walking tree or one of those punching bags with sand in the bottom of them--a human obelisk of sorts. When large women wear them they only look larger. It's like Danny Devito wearing a double-breasted jacket.

SO as this Christmas time rolls around I plead with my friends to care about what inverted farm animal footwear you choose.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

ps: wear whatever the heck you want to wear

...feel free...

Hint, hint...you can make comments and make these commercials popular just by using your power of e-mail link-a-bility. I know you might not want to stamp some of these that I will post but maybe one or two will strike you as creative or funny and you will send the link to a friend who will in turn send it to a friend, etc., etc.

I'll put up the respective links once they post on the site.

Thanks

...Doritos PSA...

...it's video time again...

My fine video friends who so valiantly followed my trip to LA from Charlotte, I am posting again. I have entered a Doritos commercial contest. (crashthesuperbowl.com) People create 30 second commercials for Doritos and post them on this jump-cut site and the judges (professionals at Doritos/Frito-Lay) will choose 5 people to win 10K and go to Miami for the Super Bowl. After the 5 are chosen, America votes. Number one gets aired during the Super Bowl. So I thought I'd try my hand at a few and I'll post them as I finish them on here.

Happy Viewing.

"...you're not my type. You're single..."

After eating a meal prepared for 112 people (roughly 104 didn't show) my friends and I decided to catch a movie on this day of giving thanks. Nothing says thankfulness like peering into the crazy life of newly upgraded to "00" status, international man of mystery, Bond-James-Bond.

I have seen each of the other 20 James Bond movies (btw: having 21 movies makes Rocky look like a one-hit (pun intended) wonder) roughly one million times--some more and some less. I am going out there to say that I think this was my favorite of them all.

Unfortunately I haven't read a book since "If you give a mouse a cookie," much less any of Mr. Flemings grand novels that shaped the landscape of spy-thriller (Bourne Identity, Mission Impossible, Alias, etc.) but from reviews and the like it seems that Daniel Craig's bond is more book-true than the suave, sharp Bonds of the past.

I enjoyed this 'real' Bond so much more. Granted Casino Royale had it's share of cheese lines and "is that even possible for someone to do?" moments, I practically stood up and cheered at the end. I like this direction for Bond and feel much like Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale's new-old Batman is better than ever....so goes our favorite British agent.

Applause to Martin Cambell who rocked the room with this thriller. I loved it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, though Bond (and Mr. Bourne) end up lonely and beat up in each of their movies....a talented, hired hitman (freelance or for Her Majesty) seems pretty awesome.

...a statement of our times...

This is a picture of what? Yes, toto we are not in Kansas anymore. I was in Macy's in Sherman Oaks the other day and spotted this iPod vending machine. You simply scan your card and pick what iPod and/or accessory you want! I couldn't believe it but it's real!

...save the ta tas...

Friends I appreciate creativity in this great world. Cancer is no laughing matter but I love this sticker I saw on a car. I was driving (slowly) through traffic and was so confused and then realized it was for breast cancer. The girl who started this actually has a blogspot (savethetatas.blogspot.com) so check it out.

And may I go on record as saying I too think we should "save the ta tas."

...100 and counting...

Ladies and gents,

It is with great excitment and self-purported modesty that I am letting you all know I'm 100. Well my blog is. This is my 100th post and I truly appreciate everyone who has stopped by. It's funny to think about all the different posts I have had throughout this time. From videos of my travels, New Year's Eve parties, random ramblings and more, simply knowing people read this stuff makes my world feel smaller...and that's a great thing in LA.

Much love and here's to another 100!

...how I feel sometimes...

This was just a classic sign for LA. It describes the people and the driving and the overall mentality.

I feel like this sometimes too. I just had to take a picture of this.

....NOT terminated...

He's back!
Oh, he's "protecting the California Dream." That's cool, I guess?! I'll call him and see what he can do for me about my dreams.

...can anyone help me?

Friends,

Hello to all. I thank you for checking this site with frequency to see what is going on the world of LA and the world of BradLAy (lame, I know, but I just made it up).

I wanted to see if you guys could help me. A few weeks ago I had a gig doing conference entertainment for Centex Construction. As you might remember from one of my posts Brian Thurman and I were anti-motivational speakers. We received great praise and reviews for our work.

Now I'm taking it to the next level.

MOST of you are gainfully employed and MOST of you are at the point where you either "know people" or "know people who know people". I am determined to make this CE deal a recurring employment opportunity for me but I need contacts.

If you know your company puts on conferences (managers meetings, CEO/CFO meetings, new employee hire meetings, etc., etc.) I would love to know about it. I can contact directly those people you know and either use your name or not in the process.

It would mean the world to me as I look to build up this client base.

ALSO spread the word to your friends and if you don't know about a meeting (per-se) happening in your office or with your company but know someone who could benefit from my services please put us in contact.

Again I am very thankful for your friendship and support.

You can e-mail me: bradleyhasemeyer@gmail.com with any contacts.
