...living it up...

Ashley Fullman (Edelman PR), Me, Lucy Madeline (Friend/Artist/Actor)

Hey friends. I just wanted to put you on to an event I went to recently for Gear Patrol--that is to say, I covered it for GP.

Here's the STORY

Also there are many pictures on my FLICKR of that event as well as camping, a friend's going away party, and shots from the set of the short film I did.

Chech it out.

I looked like a bird

The past few weeks have been full of firsts: first t.v. show, first real agent, SAG eligible, etc.

Last night I had my first big screen premier. The short I wrote about, Tour De Fright, earlier finally screened last night. It was only five minutes but we only shot for two days so that's about right. Anyway, it turned out pretty good.

I did feel like in some of my closeups that I looked like a bird. My hair was kinda pulled back a bit because I had my sunglasses on and...I don't know. I just think I looked like a bird. An AWESOME bird...but a bird none-the-less.

But it was fun to see that and mark that as my first time.

...my first BIG one...

Some of you know that I recently booked my first role on national t.v. I got a call from a casting director I had met with about a month ago for what we call a general (where you just meet with them and give a general audition so they know what to call you in for in the future). They said they had a part "that would be a stretch for me," a waiter. So I went in on a Wed and auditioned and a few hours later I got a call from them and said I'd booked it!

I was very excited.

So I showed up to set Friday and they showed me to my room (awesome, right?) and then went down to wardrobe to get my outfit, they steamed it and hung it in my room and I was pretty free to eat the food and snacks and stuff. They trimmed my hair and put me in make up and then I pretty much waited for a few hours and stayed on set and got to watch rehearsal for a few scenes and it was awesome.

Then they shot my scene. It was with Vivica A. Fox:

And J.B. Smoove:

So it was very cool to work with both of them. And it was a nice boost to my confidence because I feel like I handled myself pretty well on set, even with five cameras pointed at me and working with Fox(xy) and Smoove I stayed pretty calm and just did what I needed to do.

I'm very hopeful that this will lead to some other opportunities and have begun pin pointing other casting directors to try to keep this momentum up.

I will be sure to let you know when the episode airs but it will be near Thanksgiving because J.B. was going to the airport to go to Vegas for Thanksgiving.

Anyway, it was very exciting. It was only a few lines but it's the beginning, folks, the beginning.

...It's been a while since...

I have given a celebrity sighting update. Honestly, I see them all the time and I forget to post so I'm going to try to be better about it.

So on to the matters at hand.

Today at work I see a girl walking in and I think, "that girl is quite attractive" but that's not un-normal (another reason I don't mind working where I do) and then I thought, "I know her."

Ms. (I think) Rashida Jones who you might recognize as Jim's other love interest in the office before switching back to Pam. **I was rooting for her to 'win' over Pam because she is HOT** She is the daughter of Quincy Jones and really really beautiful in that unassuming way.

Then as I was leaving work today I walked past this little beaute

Sitting at a table with an older man. She is actually really tiny---I think they must have the camera on a low tri-pod.

THEN (I don't normally see more than one celebrity and/or Ferarri in one day) I was running tonight and ran past a table with this man of magic:

Penn is the one on the left, I think. That is the one I saw at least.

That's all I got for now.

...I signed...

I wanted to say thank you for your thoughts and prayers recently. I officially signed with Osbrink yesterday and I'm very happy about that.

My meeting with them went very well and I am excited about their connections and business mind for this industry. They are both personable and very professional which is awesome.

So I'm very hopeful that this will be a really great step for my career.

Thanks again, just wanted to update you.
